Extensive Garden Briar, Bramble, Tree and Ivy Removal Project County Galway
Loughrea, County Galway
January 2025
Areas covered: front and rear gardens, courtyard area.
Purpose of project: Remove heavily overgrown briar, bramble and Ivy from several areas of the garden.
Job duration: 2 days.
Garden Overgrowth Clearance
This clients property had several areas in need of extensive clearance. Briar, bramble and ivy took a hold of the property as it remained untouched for many years. The buildup of ivy and briar basically hid the perimeter fence to the rear of the property. Unfortunately the weight of the overgrowth caused damage to the fence however this can be repaired with new lengths of fencing.
Ivy Removal from Exterior Walls
The client asked us to remove ivy overgrowth from the front wall of the property as it had completely covered it. Using a combination of tools and techniques, we were able to peel back the ivy in sections and remove it at the base of the wall.
Several plants and trees had to be cut down in order to expose the inner and outer wall surface. The stumps were levelled to the ground afterwards to complete this aspect of garden clearance.
Extensive Briar Removal from Garden
Next up, we aimed our attention to the back of the property where a large section of briar had overgrown the perimeter wall. Using both manual and electric tools, we were able to clear this after a couple of hours. The client will now be able to utilise this garden space and plant new trees or shrubs.
Last up to deal with was the ivy overgrowth on the ground to the rear of the clients property. We were able to cut this and roll it up in one piece for disposal. This section is now ready for future pressure washing in order to visually enhance the grounds.
